When I was a little boy, my mom would make me brush my teeth and floss really good before I went to the dentist. This was right in line with having to take a bath after I had been swimming. For me, it was senseless. Who does that? A friend of mine’s wife cleans her house before the housekeeper comes. And my mother used to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher.
I am so grateful God does not expect me to clean-up before coming to Him. He wants me just as I am…and He wants you too.
I heard a preacher once say, “Jesus wants us to catch fish – He doesn’t say anything about cleaning them – that’s His job!”
Everywhere there are people who believe they are too messed up for God to love them. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Easter Sunday is rapidly approaching. I am excited for all that God is preparing in our church and the churches in my community. What about you? Is there a friend, neighbor, or co-worker that you need to invite to church Sunday? This week be intentional about spreading the Word of God. He is our hero. There is none greater than our God.
Pray for those seeking truth that they will find Jesus.
Spend time seeking His Word and connecting with Your Savior.
Be intentional to stay focused on Him in all the preparations this week for this life-changing-day – Easter.
