There are times in our lives when the weight of the our trials and the pressures of life make us feel inadequate to handle them. Doubt, insecurity, and dismay overpower us, and we cannot believe what is before us is doable. Do you know that God has qualified you to deal with the obstacles in your life?

2 Corinthian 4:7-9, “But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”

I have been there, and I’m sure most of you have as well. There is a powerless, overwhelming, crushing dose of reality when we contemplate our situation and can’t find a way out. You may be hard pressed on every side of your life, but God will not let you be crushed. You may think there is no way out, but God has one. Others may abandon you, but God never will. It may be hard to get up, but God can pull you up. With Him, we are not destroyed.

Colossians 1:11, “…being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you…”

Those four words speak volumes to me, “…who has qualified you.” They tell me that you and I are qualified to deal with anything Satan throws at us because of our Heavenly Father. He won’t ask you or me to do anything He knows we can’t do. God has equipped us with the right stuff to get the job done.

When you begin to doubt yourself, speak words of affirmation, “I am qualified to handle the struggles, the trials, and the difficulties in my life, because my Father in Heaven has equipped me to do so.”
